Jardim do Morro

Jardim do Morro is a picturesque park located in Porto, Portugal, that offers a delightful retreat from the bustling city life. Situated on the southern bank of the Douro River, directly opposite the historic Ribeira district, this charming garden is a must-visit destination for anyone planning a trip to Porto.

One of the main highlights of Jardim do Morro is its stunning panoramic views. As you enter the park, you’ll be greeted by a vast expanse of greenery dotted with beautiful flowerbeds, towering trees, and well-maintained lawns. However, the real treat awaits you at the viewpoint, where you can enjoy breathtaking vistas of the Douro River, the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge, and the colorful facades of Porto’s old town. Visit Notes

I suppose if you like crowds then a visit to this viewpoint at sunset is in order. Instead I went in the morning and got to watch a guy feeding pigeons corn from his mouth. I’m happy with my trade-off.

I don’t think this viewpoint warrants a special trip unless you’re intent on joining the masses to view the sunset. The park itself is nothing special and I think there are plenty of other great viewpoints from which to admire the city.
