The museum houses an incredible range of artifacts, including medieval sculptures, baroque paintings, rococo furniture, weapons, ceramics, textiles, and musical instruments. You’ll see everything from exquisite royal treasures to beautifully crafted folk art that showcases Bavarian traditions. A highlight for many visitors, the museum has one of the world’s most impressive displays of nativity scenes (Krippen), some dating back to the 18th century.

The museum itself is a work of art, with a grand building featuring elements of neo-Gothic and neo-Renaissance styles.
