Museo de Reproducciones Artísticas

The Museo de Reproducciones Artísticas, established in 1927, is one of Bilbao’s oldest museums. It offers visitors an opportunity to experience faithful reproductions of classical masterpieces from renowned institutions such as the Louvre, the Vatican Museums, and the British Museum. The museum’s collection includes notable works like the Panathenaic Frieze of the Parthenon, Michelangelo’s Moses and Slaves, the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory of Samothrace, and the Laocoön Group.

Housed within the restored Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the San Francisco neighborhood, the museum’s setting enhances the viewing experience by blending historical architecture with art. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and educational activities, including drawing and painting classes, guided tours, and lectures, aimed at deepening visitors’ understanding of art history and techniques.
