Alternatively, you can take a leisurely ride on the famous Bom Jesus funicular, a historic inclined railway that dates back to the 19th century.
The Bom Jesus funicular, also known as the Elevador do Bom Jesus, is one of the oldest funiculars in the world. It was built in the late 19th century and has since become an iconic symbol of Braga. Travel Notes
When I went to the museum, there was no one around to charge admission, or any obvious ticket booth. I just walked in and enjoyed the collection all by myself. I saw not a single soul while exploring the museum. It isn’t very large, so it shouldn’t take long. The building itself is interesting and the exhibits are spread out in the cloister and on a couple of floors. If you happen to be passing by, it’s worth stopping in.
