Santa Maria in Domnica
Santa Maria in Domnica, often called Santa Maria alla Navicella because of the small fountain shaped like a ship in front, is an old church near the Villa Celimontana that dates back to the early Christian period. From the outside it looks modest and tucked into a quiet street, but it has been repaired and changed over many centuries, so you notice different styles mixed together—ancient stone, medieval touches, and later decorations.
